Chair, National Republican Senatorial Committee, 2003-05.

PROFESSIONAL: Law Clerk to Judge Glen Williams, 1977-78. Attorney (practiced law 1978-91 and 1998-2000).

EDUCATION: B.A. (History), University of Virginia, 1974. J.D., University of Virginia, 1977.

PERSONAL: Born March 8, 1952, in Whittier, California. Married to Susan Brown Allen. Three children. Presbyterian. Son of the late George H. Allen, the legendary NFL coach of the L.A. Rams and Washington Redskins.
