EDUCATION: B.S., Brigham Young University, 1959. J.D., University of Pittsburgh, 1962.

PERSONAL: Born March 22, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Married to Elaine Hansen Hatch. Six children. Latter Day Saint (Mormon).

ANALYSIS:

After registering a dismal sixth place finish (1%) in the Iowa GOP Caucuses, Hatch withdrew from the Presidential race on January 25, 2000. He subsequently endorsed George W. Bush for President.
